EU Right of Withdrawal
EU Right of Withdrawal for Eligible EU Online Purchases: European Union consumers may use this page to submit a statutory withdrawal request for an eligible online purchase from ScienceMall-USA. This page applies to EU consumers only. U.S. and non-EU customers should use our standard returns and customer service process. This section is limited to EU purchases only.
Why This EU Withdrawal Page Is Required
This page is provided because updated European Union consumer rules require all online sellers who offer eligible goods to EU consumers to make an online withdrawal function available. This requirement applies even when a business is located outside the European Union if it sells eligible online purchases to EU consumers. ScienceMall-USA provides this page to meet the EU online withdrawal requirement while keeping our standard U.S. and non-EU returns process separate.
Good-Faith Purchasing
ScienceMall-USA sells authentic natural history, geological, fossil, meteorite, and educational specimens. We ask all customers to purchase in good faith and to place orders only when they genuinely intend to keep the specimen. Many of our items are individually photographed, one-of-a-kind, limited, fragile, heavy, or difficult to replace. The EU right of withdrawal remains available where legally applicable, but it is not devised as a specimen preview, temporary display, or approval-loan service.
Premise to Contact US Before Shipment
If you need to cancel or withdraw from an order, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of purchase and before the order ships. Early notice helps prevent unnecessary packing, shipping, insurance, customs paperwork, and return costs.
Withdrawal Timeline Window
EU consumers generally have the right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days after the day they, or a person designated by them, receive the goods. If an order is delivered in multiple shipments, the 14-day period generally begins after the final item is received.
Return Shipping and Delivery Costs
If you exercise the EU right of withdrawal for an eligible purchase, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us unless we agree otherwise in writing. Original outbound shipping charges, where legally required, will be handled according to applicable EU consumer withdrawal rules. Expedited, upgraded, insured, oversized, freight, or special shipping costs may not be reimbursed beyond the least expensive standard delivery option available for the order. The item must be returned in its original condition at the time of shipping for any potential reimbursement.
