Meteorite Jewelry Pendant Necklace Coin Mount Extra Large Sterling Silver
This beautiful, extra large space rock jewelry was professionally custom cut and trimmed to fit this braided sterling silver rope coin mount. This meteorite's sprinkling of metallic flakes and interesting chondrules makes it one of the best gifts you can give to that special someone in your life who enjoys astronomy, the heavens and stars!
The meteorite in this pendant is named NWA 869, which stands for North West Africa where it was found. It was discovered in 1999, near Tindouf, Algeria, in Africa.
One side has been coated to enhance the natural beauty of the meteorite and preserve it (shown), the other side has been left un-coated so you can see what one looks like naturally. Both sides are extremely nice and very similar.
Size: 1 1/2" Diameter, 3/8" D
Metaphysical lore: Meteorites bring energy from the universe. They ground creative and emotional energies. They help us to focus on our purpose on this planet. They are thought to encourage endurance, stamina and introspection.
Meteorites are believed to be small fragments of asteroids, broken off and ejected mainly from the asteroid belt. They are about seven hundred million years older than the oldest rocks on Earth, making them, in our brief lifetimes seemingly “eternal.”
