Meteorite Jewelry Necklace Pendant Coin Mount Setting Sterling Silver
Meteorite Jewelry Necklace Pendant Coin Mount
Meteorites are rocks from space and most have their origin from the asteroid belt in our solar system. The meteorite in this pendant is called NWA 869 (North West Africa). It is among one of the best meteorites to chose for making jewelry, as it is know for its beauty and diversity of varying rock-colored clasts. These meteorites were discovered in 1999 near Tindouf, Algeria, Africa. This meteorite slice was carefully custom cut and prepared to make this coin mount pendant. Either side can be worn facing outwards. One side has been left un-coated so you can see what it looks like in its natural state. The other side has been coated to enhance seeing the details of the unique stony clasts.
Meteorites are about seven hundred million years older than the oldest rocks on Earth, making them, in our brief lifetimes, seemingly “eternal." They are among one of the best gifts symbolizing long-lasting, enduring friendship or love. They also represent determination through perserverance resulting in high achievement and success.
The sterling silver rope coin mount meteorite pendant is 27mm in diameter, about 1" wide.
This beautiful meteorite pendant ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, 16" sterling silver chain and attractive jewelry box with information about the meteorite.
3 available. All beautifully varying and similar.
