K-Pg Boundary Bjala Bulgaria
K-Pg or formerly K-T boundary is important geological material that is a thin layer of sediment that shows unusually high levels of the element iridium, which is found much more common in asteroids than in Earth rocks. It is associated with the end of the Age of the Dinosaurs and the Chixculub asteroid event that occurred 66 million years ago. The crater was discovered in the 1990s and is located partially offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, in the Yucatan peninsula, nearest to the town of Chixculub, where the crater gets it's name.

K-Pg boundary from the Chixculub event have been found in many localities around the world, with Bjala, Bulgaria, being one of them.
