This great K-Pg boundary is part of the signature remnant from the Chicxulub asteroid crater impact which occurred 66 million years ago. This material came from the Lance/ Fort Union Formations near New Castle, Wyoming.

Here you have labelled and represented the Cretaceous, the K-Pg boundary, and then the Paleocene. Dynamic specimen for discussing geological ages, extinction events, variations in material, and time.
