The meteorite in this jewelry pendant is a NWA 869 (North West Africa). Many beautiful meteorites are coming from this part of the world. It is among the prettiest class of chondrite meteorites, and is a L-5 type chondrite.

The meteorite was discovered in 1999 near Tindouf, Algeria, Africa. The total known weight of this meteorite fall is about 3,000 kg.

One side has been coated with a protectant material that helps you see the natural beauty of the meteorite better. The other side has been left uncoated so you can see what they look like naturally.
