Product Description
When the Earth suffers an asteroid impact, (as it has many times in the past), many things change in
only a few moments. The explosion that occurs releases many times more energy in the form of heat
and shock than a nuclear bomb. Anything living in the area is killed and millions of tons of rock are
vaporized, shattered, and ejected from the target point. The impact crater that is formed can be from
under a mile to over 100 miles in diameter, and the rocks in the area are transformed into new types
that are entirely unique to impact events.
This study set includes a collection of the distinctive new rocks produced ONLY by the hypervelocity
impact of an asteroid on Earth. 6 samples of meteorite, impact rocks, and a dinosaur bone presented
in a 5 by 7.5 inch snap-close plastic display case!
Includes an in-depth, 4-page information pack.
