This is a one-quarter-scale model of OH-5, an Australopithecus boisei fossil discovered by Mary Leakey at Olduvai Gorge,Tanzania, in 1959.

Originally Mary's husband Louis Leakey named the specimen Zinjanthropus boisei, which was later dropped in favor of Australopithecus.

A. boisei lived 1.2 to 2.3 million years ago in eastern Africa (primarily Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania).

Size: 1 1/2" L X 1 3/8"W X 3/4"D.

Comes with information tag on the keychain (as shown).
